Monday September 5TH 2011

Bath 15:10 Sermons Mount
Could strugle of this all time high mark and dosn't have the best of draws but has been in great form since joining Peter Hedger

Bath 16:40 Indochina
Was only beaten by 2lenghs off this mark on his last start, visored for the 1st time and Fallon on board could see him get his head infront

Newton Abbot 15:00 Hes Our Lad
Anthony Honeyball and Aidan Coleman have an impressive strike rate when teaming up and thats enough for me to take the plunge

Newton Abbot 15:30 Cappagh
Tony McCoy is Nostringsattached's regular pilot so the fact that the champ has got off Jonjo O'Neill's enigmatic gelding to ride CAPPAGH here speaks volumes. Philip Hobbs' six-year-old has the potential to be much better than this grade and the fact that he hasn't raced since February isn't off-putting as he goes well fresh

Newton Abbot 16:30 Dean's Grange
Put in a decent effort last time off this mark and with the promising Steven Clements taking off 7lb i think he will go close

Saturday 6 August 2011

Saturday August 6 2011

Newmarket 14:40

Unex El Greco
Showed good promise as a 2yo and Gosden has his runners in top form at the moment

Sunday 31 July 2011

Monday August 1 2011

Ripon 17:15

King's Counsel
Was just touched off last time by two inform horses and the second place finisher winning twice since with the latest win coming off a 5lb higher mark (Should go well under Daniel Tudhope who has been riding well for David O'meara lately)

Thursday 28 July 2011

Friday July 29 2011

Goodwood 16:50

Dever Dream
Did not have the clearest of runs last time but showed a great turn of foot once out in the clear. She can give Willie Haggas who has his runners in cracking form his first winner of this years festival under Ryan Moore who gets on well with the fillie.

Monday 25 July 2011

Monday July 25 2011

Ayr 16:00

High Resolution

William Haigh looks likely to be the favourite here, but i think he could strugle of this mark and wouldn't want to be taking anything less than 4/1, so there could be some value to be found elsewere and i like the look of High Resolution who has a good record over 9F he put in a good second off 78 in may, and runs of 75 today with Shane B Kelly taking off 7lb i think he could run a big race

Monday 20 June 2011

Tuesday June 21 2011

Beverley 17:15
Mission Impossible
Won off higher mark at Nottingham in November 2009. Ran only once last year, but back to form in cheekpieces at Carlisle last month. Not disgraced since, and has a decent draw here.

Saturday 11 June 2011

Sunday June 12 2011

Doncaster 14:50
Sandbetweenourtoes
32,000 gns yearling and related to 7f winner Doricemay. Showed speed on debut, and given stable's juveniles tend to come on for a run, he ought to be involved this time.

Sunday 5 June 2011

Monday June 6 2011

Newton Abbot 14:15
Hill Forts Gloria

Some promise in bumpers and initially over hurdles at around 21f. Offered bit more on second start in handicaps at Towcester last time, without looking ahead of her mark.

Sunday 22 May 2011

Monday May 23 2011

Carlisle 17:00

Pelmanism
Progressive on AW earlier in year, winning 3 times over 6f, and best efforts on turf when runner-up at Hamilton last 2 starts. No reason why he won't be on the premises once more.

Friday 20 May 2011

Friday May 20 2011

18:10 Towcester
Approved Force
Not most genuine, but fair hurdler/chaser on his day and has made frame all completed starts over fences. Soon lost interest on second start back last month, so cheekpieces back on.

Thursday 19 May 2011

Thursday 19th May 2011

15:05 Wetherby

Montoya's Son

Unpredictable over hurdles, but quickly improved for the switch to fences when finding only one too good in handicap at Hexham last month. Off the mark at Carlisle 12 days later. Strong claims.

Wednesday 18 May 2011

Wednesday May 18 2011

Kempton Park 17:05

Cinderkamp
Significant improvement to win final 2 starts as a juvenile, rounding off campaign with resounding C&D success. Resumes off a much higher mark, but no denying his progressive profile.

Monday 16 May 2011

Tuesday May 17 2011

Brighton 14:20
Rocker
Won at Lingfield last May, but only sixth in repeat bid in corresponding race last time, although failed to get run of things, and had previously been in good form. Blinkers back on now.

Sunday 8 May 2011

Monday May 9 2011

Redcar 15:50
Ezra Church
Got off mark in 6f Southwell maiden in February. Bettered that form when second to Vito Volterra at Newcastle (7f) last week and obvious claims off same mark with cheekpieces tried now.

Friday 6 May 2011

Saturday May 7 2011

14:30 Haydock
Special Boy
¤110,000 yearling with superb pedigree and counts Ezalli and Gentle On My Mind among his relatives to have made successful debuts.

Thursday 5 May 2011

Friday May 6 2011

17:50 Ascot
Florestans Match
Well backed on all runs as a juvenile but proved expensive to follow. Finaly got off the mark last time, winning by four lengh and eased right down, steps up in class here but i think we still have to see the best of her.

Wednesday 4 May 2011

Wednesday May 4 2011

15:30 Chester
Fathom Five
Prominent racer whose last 2 wins have come over 5f at Epsom. Ended 2010 in good form, joined yard that are dab hand with sprinters and won first time out last year.

Tuesday 3 May 2011

Tuesday May 3 2011

Exeter 20:20
Bahira
Fairly useful form in bumpers, her third place at Taunton flanked by wins at Catterick and Sedgefield, the latter in ready fashion. Donald McCain rarely sends runners this far without good reason and it will be a surprise if his filly can't add to recent wins at Catterick and Sedgefield.

Monday 2 May 2011

Monday May 2 2011

16:10 Warwick

Zafaraan
Half-sister to 7f winner Falakee, her dam out of a sister to Shirley Heights. Zafaraan  appeared to find 7f too sharp at Salisbury in October and given connections shes likely to do much better this time around. (Peter Chapple-Hyam won with 2 returning 3-y-os in April and Zafaraan has the right sort of profile to provide him with another here)

Saturday 30 April 2011

Saturday April 30 2011

20:15 Doncaster

Old Hundred
Didn't look totally straightforward at times last year, but appreciated the step up to 2m when off the mark at Kempton in September. 5 lb rise looks fair, and Fanshawe looks to have his horses well tuned up.

Friday 29 April 2011

Friday April 29 2011

Fontwell Park 17:30
Royal Wedding
Patchy record over the years, but did win C&D handicap in February. Below form 3 starts since, but well capable of bouncing back and doubtless had this race in his sights for a while. Nick Gifford's nine-year-old is only 2lb higher than when scoring over C&D in February

Wednesday 27 April 2011

Thursday April 28 2011

Hereford 14:30

Carlton Scroop
has been in grand form on the all-weather over the winter, landing a decent claimer over 1m6f at Wolverhampton in January, and this won't take much winning (Potentially well handicapped)

Monday 25 April 2011

Tuesday April 26 2011

15:40 Yarmouth
Cadore
Sixth in warm Newmarket novice race on debut and runner-up over 1m here on soft 7 weeks later. Improvement needed from opening mark but longer trip will suit.

Saturday 23 April 2011

Sunday April 24 2011

Sandown Park 16:25

 Miss Aix
On the bridle a lot longer than eventual winner when runner-up over 1m at Newcastle on debut earlier this month. Sure to improve for that experience and longer trip expected to suit.

Friday 22 April 2011

Saturday April 23 2011

15:10 Sandown

Can't Buy Time
Improved form when winning 21f chase at Cheltenham in January 2010 but not matched that since, and latest non-completion was his third in the National. Act of faith needed to lend support.

Wednesday 20 April 2011

Thursday April 21 2011

Wincanton 14:10
Miss Overdrive
Won 21f novice hurdle at Ludlow in October and has run some solid races in handicaps since, including at Ascot last time. Has a few quirks but looks to hold outstanding claims in this field.

Wednesday April 20 2011

20:05 Newcastle

 Dysios
Out the back all 3 starts in maidens at Kempton up to 7f last year. Should do better as a 3-y-o given breeding

Monday 18 April 2011

Tuesday April 19 2011

17:10 Pontefract

Sharp Sovereign
Model of consistency after rejoining David Barron last year, posting career best to complete hat-trick over C&D in October. Probably needed recent return and might need another run or 2 yet. He also dosnt have the best of draws but at 14/1 a small eachway is recomended

Friday 15 April 2011

Saturday April 16 2011

16:15 Newbury

Suhaili
Dante/Derby entry who shaped well in third in 1m Newmarket maiden in October, staying on strongly. Sets standard, longer trip sure to bring about more progress and type to do well this year.

Friday April 15 2011

17:25 Newbury

Fairly useful stayer on Flat in France. Placed first 8 starts over hurdles in Britain, though didn't impress with jumping or attitude. Stable do boast a good record in this sphere, though.

Wednesday 13 April 2011

WHISPER

HAD A WORD FOR A HORSE TODAY> But can't post just yet will post 2 hour b4 the race @ 4:05
Tipperary 18:05 - Mctaggart @ 9/1

Wednesday April 13 2011

16:10 Newmarket
Ladies Are Forever
Smart sprinting 2-y-o, finishing excellent third to Maqaasid in Queen Mary on second start before overcoming long absence to win listed race at Redcar. Scope to do better and holds Guineas entry.

5th @ 5/1

Monday 11 April 2011

Tuesday April 12 2011

17:30 Towcester

The Strawberry One
Dual-bumper winner who made a respectable return to action at Kempton in December. That a good platform to go hurdling and deserves another chance after falling at Lingfield on first attempt.

2nd @ 2/1

Sunday 10 April 2011

Monday April 11 2011

15:10 Wolverhampton
 Take Your Partner
Has looked a different horse this year and completed hat-trick in good style when making all over C&D last time. Up another 8 lb but that may not stop him extending his winning sequence.

1st @ 1/5 :)

Sunday April 10 2011

Ludlow 15:30

Somewhatinevitable

Shaped like stayer when second in bumper at Kempton last spring. Gradually getting hang of things over hurdles and type to improve now handicapped, albeit opening mark is no gift.

11th @ 10/1 (led until approaching 3 out, soon weakened, tailed off opened 8/1 touched 10/1) Was traveling well untill outpaced 3out, could be a little high in the weights of this mark but could go better if dropped back to 2mile.

Friday 8 April 2011

Saturday April 9 2011

17:35 Aintree

Steps To Freedom

Looked exciting prospect in Tipperary bumper in June. Tongue tied and slipped up following month and not seen since, but stable's runners always command respect.

1st @ 12/1

Thursday 7 April 2011

Friday April 8 2011

Newcastle 14:20

Marford Missile

Sales price rose to ¤14,000 last year. Half-brother to 1¼m winner Paymaster General and 7f to 11f winner Kipchak. By noted speed influence though, so ought to be effective at 5f on debut.

1st @ 3/1

Thursday April 7 2011

17:30 Ripon

Lucky Numbers

Won 5f handicaps at Haydock and Catterick last summer. Back down to same mark as for latter win but doesn't have greatest record fresh.

1st @ 7/1

Tuesday 5 April 2011

Wednesday April 6 2011

15:20 Nottingham

Perfect Pastime

Maiden who probably hasn't yet shown his hand, supported in the betting when placed in nurseries prior to being undone by draw when last seen. Ran well on debut last year and should go well.

3rd @ 10/11

Tuesday 29 March 2011

Wednesday 30th March 2011

Lingfield Park 16:00

Shaded Edge

Not won a race since 9th May 2009 but has been running well lately. Beaten favourite last time by just under 2 lenghs been dropped a pound for that run. He dosnt look the most easiest of rides but he should get plenty of assistance from Martyn Dwyer who has won on him twice before

11th @ 4/1

Tuesday 29th March 2011

Southwell 15:30

Kheley
Twice a winner over C&D,was drawn on the wrong side in a big field here a week ago and did well to finish a close-up third. She looks capable of winning off her current mark and can reverse last week's form with the runner-up Bertrand

4th @ 7/2

Sunday 27 March 2011

Monday 28th March 2011

Wolverhampton 16:50

Tom Sawyer
Tom Sawyer looks an interesting recruit from Ireland and can topple Joe Le Taxi who has yet to meet a rival of his calibre having gained his AW wins against modest oppostion

2nd @ 2/1
